Storbåtsegga 638 masl. during Polar night in Vesterålen
In Vesterålen in Northern Norway we don't see the sun in a period of approximately 2 months during the winter season. Many are "scared" of this so-called Polar night, and I was too in the beginning but not anymore.
Each period of the year here in the north has its own charm. Despite that the sun is under the horizon at the moment, and the days with lights are at it shortest, we still get a few hours of "daylight".
This video is from yesterday, where Jens and I powerhiked up to Storbåtsegga 638 masl. and ran down with snowshoes on. We took full advantage of the few hours we had with daylight, and were blown away of the magical light and atmosphere we experienced during our hike in the mounta...

Strandstinden 1076 masl. in Lødingen, Northern Norway. When I summited Strandstinden I was standing in "the golden hour" at 9:20pm, blown away by the surroundings and the beautiful light from the sun. The golden hour is the last hour of the day before the sun goes down. I love running in the mountains during the last hour of sunlight because it gives a special mood and feeling to the experience...

A video from my hiking trip to the summit Skata in Vesterålen in Northern Norway. This summit is spectacular, with 3 mountain ridges "meeting" on top. I love this mountain area because this, for me, is one big playground. Here, you will find nice "safe" trails, several summits with amazing view and technical ridges and exposed parts that I love so much.

Strøna 906 masl. has been on my bucket list for many years. A few weeks agi I was finally standing on the summit sharing this beautiful climb and surroundings together with my good friend Jens. We were so lucky with the weather conditions, and the view from here was mind-blowing.

On my way down from summit Saltberget 666 masl. in Øksnes in Vesterålen, I went up to a small peak called Katthammaren. Here I saw my chance to bring up my drone before the next snowfall would come. This is the result of 8 minutes of "air time".

After 2 hours of intense technical ridge running in Sigerfjorden in Vesterålen, I decided to take a short break and bring up my drone. Not a bad place to run! Especially on days like these, where the temperatures are high and no wind.

Earlier this week I decided to run Snykolla 763 masl., the highest mountain on Langøya in Vesterålen. This summit has been on my bucket list for a while now, so it was fantastic to finally climb it. The view from here is mindblowing! The video is captured around 9pm.

I climbed one of the few mountains above 1000 meters on the island Hinnøya. The summit is called Stortinden 1021 masl. and is located in beautiful Sigerfjorden in Vesterålen. It has one of the most beautiful and technical ridges I've run in Vesterålen.

On recovery days I like to do hikes in a much slower pace (believe it or not!). For me it is a great way to regain my energy and strength and still get a fantastic experience outdoor. Like this hike to Stålberget on Hadseløya back in May. It was a beautiful day, so I thought why not go outside and enjoy it.

My favourite place to run during spring time, is the mountains on the "outside" of the island Hadseløya in Vesterålen. This area is so beautiful! Lamlitinden 657 masl. is the highest mountain on the island. When reached the summit, I took a short break to bring my drone up in the air to show you this amazing place. How long did IT take the hike to the Top? When gavę you been to moysalen?
Me and my friend ran to the top in 3 hours and 30 minutes. Up and down in 5 hours and 30 minutes, distance 25 km.
Ser at du har kjøpt ny suunto klokke og lurer derfor på om du ennå har denne, og om du skal selge den? :)

GoPro Hero5 tar opp video i vanvittig bra kvalitet! Jeg har hørt at det snart skulle være et 360 graders kamera på vei fra GoPro, det blir spennende! Ja det er du ja. Håper foten din er i bedring :)

seblind89 det er dejligt at høre. Der kommer meget mere video jo længere hen vi kommer sommeren. Sommeren er der hvor min sæson er på sit højeste, så det ser jeg frem til.
